MathCounts

Phillips Preparatory School competed in the MATHCOUNTS competition on Saturday, February 20^th.  The PPS team placed first in the team competition. Bayside Academy was 2nd, Fairhope Middle was 3rd and Christ the King was 4th. Seventh graders who competed are Yilan Liu, Angela Chieh who placed 10th, Rohan Palanki who placed 9th, Susi Manning who placed 7th, and Zach Taylor who placed 6th. 

Eighth graders who competed are Alex Ortiz who placed 5th, Rosy Langhinrichsen-Rohling who placed 4th, and Eric Wu who was the # 1 individual in the competition.  Out of the top ten individuals, seven students were PPS students. These students will go on to compete in the state MATHCOUNTS competition on March 27th in Montgomery.  Congratulations to these fine Mathletes!!!!! We are so proud of you!
