Bio

My name is Mr. Lane Jones and I am thrilled to be working with the students and staff of Phillip's Preparatory School.  I have been a math teacher in Mobile County for over 20 years.  I am a National Board Certified Teacher in the area of mathematics for early adolescence and have a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Math Education, as well as, a Master's Degree in Education Administration.  When I am not teaching school I can be found pursuing various interests.  I am a certified personal fitness trainer with the American Council of Exercise (ACE) and own a gym in Citronelle, Alabama called Lane's Rock Solid Fitness.  I also hold a 3rd degree black belt in taekwondo and am a senior certified instructor.  One of my biggest passions is bowhunting.  Of course, I exercise each day to stay fit.  I am a deacon at Fellowship Baptist Church in Chunchula, Alabama, where my family and I are members.  I also teach an adult Sunday School class.  Needless to say, I stay very busy. I am extremely proud of the family that God has blessed me with.  I have a beautiful wife, Trina, who also works at Phillip's Prep School.  My two daughters, Tori and Kylie, are the most special young people I know.
