I received both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Mobile College( University of Mobile). I am a National Board for Professional Teaching Standards certified teacher.

I began teaching in 1973. I took a few years off to stay home with my children. I am starting my 31st year in the public school system. Previously I taught at E.R. Dickson and Azalea ( Denton) Middle School.

I have been teaching at PPS since 1996. I have two adult children, David and Jessica. Jessica is a special education teacher in Russell County. My son and his lovely wife Sarah live in Georgia and have my only grandchild, Luke. (He is of course, the cutest and smartest 4 year old ever!) David, Sarah and Jessica are Auburn grads.... and Luke is a predetermined fan also...War Eagle! I enjoy cooking and antique shopping...and most of my discretionary time is now spent being "Nana." It is a pleasure to come to work each day at PPS. I enjoy my students and I am thankful for the support I receive from our staff and our parents at Phillips.
