We had an incredible time taking a group of our students to the African American Music Festival at the History Museum of Mobile!
They had the opportunity to listen, learn, and truly experience the powerful roots of gospel, jazz, and soul music—genres that have shaped generations and continue to inspire the world. From uplifting gospel harmonies to the smooth rhythms of jazz and the heartfelt sounds of soul, it was a day filled with culture, history, and unforgettable moments.
So proud of our students for engaging with and embracing the rich musical heritage that continues to influence artists everywhere! #ExcellenceByChoice #LearningLeading #PerseverancePropelsProgress

The PPS TALK campaign encourages our students to identify a trusted adult at home and at school.
Friends are great to talk to, but students need to know that the trusted adults in their life are here to help. The faculty and staff here at Phillips will work with parents and families to address the needs of students. We want our students to be happy, healthy lifelong learners. Students and families, please don’t hesitate to communicate with us.

National Coaches Day is a holiday celebrated annually on October 6th to honor coaches for their positive impact on their athletes and communities. The day was first established in 1972 by President Richard Nixon, who proclaimed October 6th as National Coaches Day to acknowledge coaches as highly qualified teachers, counselors, and friends. We are thankful to have four of the best as our physical education coaches! We appreciate everything you do for our school!
