Current 6th and 7th grade students will be issued their summer reading novel before the last day of school. ALL students will complete the REQUIRED summer reading by Aug. 10th. Look closely at the grade-level assignments for due dates. Students will use their summer reading novel during the first weeks of school.

Reminder: $5 Out-Of-Uniform Day in support of our football team! Here is the out-of-uniform policy:
In the interest of avoiding clothing that could be disruptive to the educational climate at Phillips Preparatory School, the following items are not permitted during Spring Fling/Spirit Days/Out of Uniform Days:
- Miniskirts - any skirt more than three inches above the knee (measured the same as the uniform skirt) when worn at the natural waist
- Midriff or short-waisted tops (shirts should be long enough to tuck in)
- Thigh-high tights and short skirts
- Shorts above the knee; athletic shorts
- Jeans with holes or distressed patched in them or jeans that are too tight (as determined by the administration)
- See-through shirts, pants, or skirts
- Any blouse where the girl's bra is exposed (sleeveless or low-cut blouses)
- Spaghetti strap shirts or sundresses
- Any shirt with advertisements for cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, obscene or suggestive slogans or pictures
- “Sagging” pants
- Athletic pants/sweat/jogging pants/leggings
- Any shoes which do not provide adequate protection for the student’s feet in case of an accident (No tennis shoes with roller blades, NO Crocs, no high heels)
- NO hoodies

Due to the weather, we have had to cancel our Spring Football game this Friday. But we still want to show our team some love! On Friday, May 8, students may dress out of uniform for $5 (following out-of-uniform guidelines). This will also include snacks and drinks during PE, and all proceeds go to our PPS Football team!

Wednesday, 6/3: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM (Make-Up)
Monday, 6/8: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM (6th Grade) OR Tuesday, 6/9: 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM (8th Grade)

Spring football practice begins April 27th. Students must have a DragonFly Max account and an up-to-date physical to participate. Practice ends at 5:00 pm each day. See Coach Shenesey for additional information.

Tryouts for the 2026-2027 Volleyball team will be held April 21-22, 2026. Students must complete the Google form on the Phillips Prep website. Go to the volleyball page and click the link to sign up. Students must have a current physical uploaded to Dragonfly Max. See Coach Owens for details. Sign-up deadline is Wednesday, April 8th.
